STOP PRESS! Delighted to announce that Linda has just been awarded Secondary School Coach of the Year by Netball Scotland. Scottish Borders Council nominated Linda for this award a few weeks ago and the award was decided by a panel of independent judges. Should be something in the Peebleshire News/Southern Reporter about the award/club over the next few weeks.
Well done Peebles Netball. Fantastic season for a small club. Four national finals is a great achievement (District Champs; Scottish Schools; U-13 national tournament; U-15 Youth Cup). Roll on next season! Anyone desperate for netball over the summer should go to the women's netball on Thursday at the Gytes from 8 - 9pm cost £3. If you are under around 14 you should take your mum too and make her play otherwise the women get a bit upset.
Ideas for fund raising welcome. I favour a 24 hour netballathon (would the High School let us have the games hall free over night??). You pay £5 to take part and book your hour(s).
We need new dresses for the senior team next year and we need their dresses back to pass onto the first years. Please look on the internet to find some kit - let me know what dresses you prefer.
